Under EMI Philippines, they have launched three successful albums — Sa Wakas (2003), Dramachine (2004), and the repackaged version of Dramachine (2006). The Best Thing

This was a song that was promoted to me a long long time ago by my classmate. I just shrugged it off, kasi nga nag-uunahan kami sa songs noon. Pauso kumbaga. Kaya kung may pinapauso ang isa, hindi na papansinin dahil sa PRIDE.

But then I realized, this song is really nice. The Best Thing by Relient K.

It's been a year
Filled with problems
But now you're here
Almost as if to solve them
And I can't live in a world without you now

All my life
I've been searching for you
How did I survive
In this world before you
Cause I don't wanna live another day without you now

This is the best thing
The best thing that could be happening
And I think you would agree
The best thing is that it's
Happening to you and me

All I'm gonna have
Is all that you can give me
And I'll give right back
Everything I have in me
Cause nothing ever felt as right
As this does right now

I'll go back to before we met
Try and erase the past
Try harder to forget cause
Nothing will ever be as good as here and now

Cause when I looked into your eyes
And you dared to stare right back
You should've said "Nice to meet you, I'm your other half"

And this is the best thing
The best thing that could be happening
And I think you would agree
The best thing is that it's happening
This is the best thing (the best thing)
The best thing that could be happening (the best thing)
And I think you would agree (whoooaaa whooaa)
The best thing is that it's
Happening to you and me

Always knew
I'd find someone
I never dreamt
It'd be like this
You've surpassed
All that I've hoped for (and ever wished)
And I'm tryin'
So hard
With all my heart and mind
To make your life
As good as you've made mine

This is the best thing (the best thing)
The best thing that could be happening (the best thing)
And I think you would agree (whooaaa)
The best thing is that it's happening to you and me

The best thing is that it's happening to you and me
The best thing is that it's happening to you and me

(The best thing) The best thing that could be happening
(The best thing) I think you would agree
The best thing is that it's happening to you and me

*sniff*I could really relate to this song. I dedicate this to my special someone. I *heart* you!!

Just Stand Up..

I was fooling around once again when I heard this song. It caught my attention at one, not just because it's new, but it's an all-star mix. All-star as in Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce Knowles, Ashanti, Keyshia Cole, Ciara, Miley Cyrus, Fergie, Rihanna, Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, LeAnn Rimes and Carrie Underwood. Nice eh? But it is JUST a CHARITY SINGLE by these female all-stars. And the lyrics? Here goes:

Beyonce: The heart is stronger than you think
It's like it can go through anything
And even when you think it can't it finds a way to still push on, though

Carrie: Sometimes you want to run away
Ain't got the patience for the pain
And if you don't believe it look into
your heart the beat goes on

Rihanna: I'm tellin' you that
Things get better
Through whatever
If you fall, dust it off, don't let up

Sheryl: Don't you know you can go be your own miracle

Beyonce: You need to know

CHORUS
Sheryl: If the mind keeps thinking you've had enough
But the heart keeps telling you don't give up

Sheryl/Beyonce: Who are we to be
questioning, wondering what is what
Don't give up
THROUGH IT ALL, JUST STAND UP!

Fergie: It's like we all have better days
Problems getting all up in your face

Leona: Just because you go through it

Fergie: Don't mean it got to take control, no

Leona: You ain't gotta find no hiding place

Keyshia: Because the heart can beat the hate

Leona: Don't wanna let your mind keep playin' you

Keyshia: And sayin' you can't go on

Rihanna: I'm tellin' you that

Miley: Things get better
Through whatever

Rihanna: If you fall

Miley: Dust if off, don't let up

LeAnn: Don't you know you

Natasha: Can go

LeAnn: Be your own

Natasha: Miracle

Carrie: You need to know

Ensemble: CHORUS

Mary: You don't gotta be a prisoner in your mind

Ciara: If you fall, dust it off

Mary: You can live your life

Rihanna/Carrie: Yeah

Mary: Let your heart be your guide

Rihanna/Carrie: Yeah yeah yeah

Mariah: And you will know that you're good if you trust in the good

Ashanti: Everything will be alright, yeah
Light up the dark, if you follow your heart

Mary: And it will get better

Mariah: Through whatever

CHORUS

Fergie : You got it in you, find it within
You got in now, find it within now
You got in you, find it within
You got in now, find it within now
You got in you, find it within
Find it within you, find it within
Everyone: THROUGH IT ALL, JUST STAND UP

Awesome, isn't it?

The correct answer is letter C.

Yep. That's what the quizmaster said. And as glanced upon my answer sheet, the fucking letter that was written was a damned D.

I was a contestant in the 29th Regional Super Quiz Bee held in Koronadal last November 7, 2008. All went well before the difficult round. I sweeped the easy and average questions, and it ignited the confidence and hopes that I will be the participant to the national showdown to be held at Tagaytay. But then. On the third question on the difficult round(it was about equilibrium and such), I had to choose between C and D. And I chose D. I committed suicide.

"The correct answer is letter C."

Boom. I was frustrated at once. All my hopes were shattered. It wasn't nice of me, but I was discouraged. I finished third. So much for national level eh?

Congratulations to South Cotabato division and Gensan for being 1st and 2nd, respectively.

Truckloads of apologies to my coach, Mr. Ariel Lalisan. suriii sir.

MBS2: I hope I can still join..

It's already October 4 and I haven't submitted yet. But here is my submission now. The 2nd Mindanao Blogger's Summit will be held on GenSan - a neighbor of my hometown. It's one of these rare occasions when a big event will be held next door, and I really really REALLY want to be a part of it. I'm just a newbie at blogging and I am looking forward to learn more and be an active member of the Blogosphere in Mindanao. But then, it was clearly stated in MindanaoBloggers.com that "LAST CALL to those attending the MBS2: We are closing the registration at 6am tomorrow, October 3, 2008. We have actually only a very few slots left. Congrats to those who made it!". Congrats to those who made it, condolences to me. I just hope that this submission will still be accepted. After all, I was only two days late.

stones.stones.stones.

Some stones are better left unturned.

Am I right or am i right? The truth hurts. But you still have to accept the facts and hope that things will eventually get better to your advantage. I learned all that from experience. Experience is really the damn best teacher.

Wanting to know is different from needing to know. Abolutely different. My desire to know is just simply a want, not a need. But what happened is that I learned the hardest way. I learned it not from the person involved, but from the person LEAST associated. And I forced that person(LEAST.LEAST.LEAST.) to let me know. Boom. Rebirth of agony.

F'n hard it was.

Some stones are better left unturned.

mea culpa

I was born and raised on this world by my beloved parents. From the time I came out of my mother's womb, they showered me with their steadfast love, hoping that I will grow to be a sucessful person. They imbued upon me values that are supposed to be learned at home. They molded me, and taught me right from wrong. They gave everything that I wanted. They sacrificed a lot of things just for my happiness, but then, I took advantage of it.

Problems arrived in my teenage period, when I started high school. Sometimes I wish that I can see things on a different perspective, and not rely on alcohol, cigarettes, and women. Yes, I drink and smoke, and my sexual life became active. I knew that it was not right, that it could ruin my future. I did not think about my future back then. I was engrossed on the wonderful effects of alcohol, the elegance of the whirling smoke, and the heaven felt with orgasms. In short, I became a lost sheep, far away from the flock.

I'm trying to change all I've done now. It's hard, I just need perseverance. God help me. To my parents, mea culpa. I apologize.

o2jam anyone??

This may be dubbed as antique, but hey, this was the internet's FIRST ONLINE MUSIC AND RYTHM GAME. Got that? FIRST, man.

A wonderfully ADDICTIVE (yeah, addictive) game where you must hit the notes of the song in time. The notes you hit creates the sounds that accord with the song, thus making the song sound good.

It covers every genre, from hiphop to classical, and it keeps you coming back for more. No need to worry if you're playing for the first time, O2jam has this fancy "tutorial" that will guide you at first. oh yeah, if you're a beginner, you'll be having a hard time coordinating your fingers with your vision. but it's that hard time that will seriously have you coming back for more.

It also operates in the same way as gunbound. You play a song, and then based on the number of notes you hit correctly you get a score, the score is then interpreted to GEMS with which you can spend at the O2 shop for equipment and, of course, new songs.

There is also an experience system. Like most online games, levelling up while you're at low level is easy, but then when you reach higher levels, experience is hard to get. I mean it's easy, but the songs are harder and you have to gain a certain amount of experience points for you to level up. As for me, i'm just lvl32, and i'm having a real hard time levelling up.

i'm addicted to it, and i recommend it to you. it improves your hand to eye coordination, your sense of rythm and timing, and most of all. It can drown your problems.

so, LET'S PLAY TOGETHER!!
